At Uncracked, we envision a world where food is delicious and nutritious, without compromising on quality or environmental health. By harnessing the power of seaweed, one of the most nutritious and sustainable plant species, we are replacing common additives in ultra-processed foods with cleaner alternatives.

The idea started with a team of UC Berkeley students who encountered a real problem while developing a new food product: the lack of cost-effective, clean ingredients to use in formulas. Turning to seaweed, we discovered its incredible versatility and potential.

Our approach uses various species of seaweed, categorized by their unique nutrient compositions. By combining whole format macroalgae and extracts, we create ingredients that are functional without excessive processing. Sick of long ingredient lists and unrecognizable ingredients, the Uncracked team is committed to improving the quality of our food.
